The Perfect Finish
12 months on from completion, the floor here at B&Q's Cribb's Causeway store - nr. Bristol - has dried and cured perfectly. Experienced in the industry, Mr Clive Jones Permaban's Regional Manager, puts it down to our latest aftercare services.
For bigger projects in the past, Permaban have employed a monitoring device called the TinyTag Data Logger. This small yellow box is very inconspicuous and can be installed on any upright column in the buildings' superstructure. After calibration, the unit monitors all kinds of environmental factors which may affect the drying process of the floor slab. The TinyTag Data Logger has revealed the perfect atmosphere for the gradual drying of the floor slab at the Cribb's Causeway premises; provided by the in-house air conditioning system. The temperature has been kept around 22°C and a humidity of 50% resulting in the best possible drying conditions for the Dry-Shake hardened floor. Clive goes on to say "This store must be used as the standard that all B&Q's should be built to in the future", which is quite an accolade. Subsequently, the TinyTag Data Logging service is now an option on every Permaban flooring project.
In saying that this was 'the best' B&Q floor he had ever seen, Clive heaped great praise on Stanford Industrial Flooring, the professionals who installed the floor at Cribb's Causeway. Their experience in the industry and professional competence 'on the day' has been a massive factor in the success of this project.
