Permaban launches new AlphaSLIDE heavy duty formwork joint

On the 1st November 2008, Permaban launched its latest joint in the AlphaJoint formwork family - AlphaSLIDE.

This innovative new joint is unique in its class.  It enters at the top end of the market to address the issue of heavy duty joint requirements and larger joint openings of up to 40mm.  The key feature of the AlphaSLIDE is its innovative new steel in-fill strip system which ensures that it is possible to maintain a smooth transition from one slab to the next.  The space created between the top strips, as a result of the joint opening, is filled with a steel in-fill strip virtually eliminating any gap. The steel in-fill strips are pre-drilled and counter-bored and are installed using socket head-cap screws. These steel in-fill strips are available in various sizes from 10mm to 40mm.  As the joint opens the AlphaSLIDE steel in-fill strip can be quickly and simply replaced to accommodate any increase in the size of the gap, thus providing a continuous transition between slabs.
