AlphaJoint Evolution_700

Top sections are 10mm wide cold-drawn steel.

Top sections are flat with sharp corners.

Top sections are straight in horizontal and vertical plane.

Top sections provide the highest level of joint arris armouring.

Developed by Permaban in 2006, replacing wider 20mm then 15mm earlier developments.

10mm allows better concrete penetration into the ‘C' section compared to 15mm or even 20mm as supplied on the new Peikko Lite joint.

Cold-rolled to the same stringent tolerances as AlphaJoint 4010.

Also available in stainless steel.

The Ultimate ‘Reduced Metal' Sustainable Top Section which reduces the weight of the section by over 45% compared to a solid 40 x 10mm top section.

Rolled from 4mm thick steel, the top section is forged to produce a solid forged 10mm wide top.

Combines all of the joint armouring benefits of a 10mm wide solid cold-rolled top section but at a reduced cost.

Being forged, the section is work-hardened, therefore provides higher load and stiffness capability with the straightness of cold-drawn steel.

Permaban are proud of their achievement in bringing this ‘unique to Permaban' product to the floor construction market.

Introduced by Peikko in May 2009 using hotrolled channel section which is rolled to a lower straightness tolerance than cold drawn steel.

Peikko literature states that it is lower precision to their, Tera Joint.

Peikko claim the product is produced from sustainable materials when the 40 x 20mm wide hot-rolled top section will only be 9% less weight than a solid 40 x 10mm wide top section.

It will be very difficult to ensure concrete penetration to the full depth of the section, as any professional flooring contractor will confirm.

The hot-rolled section end in contact with the concrete which needs to be square and sharpcornered will likely have a radiused end.
