ThaJoint top sections are manufactured from 10mm wide cold drawn steel, AlphaJoint provides the highest degree of straightness and armouring to concrete joint arrises.

In keeping with Permaban's commitment to reducing the carbon footprint for their manufacturing process, development began in 2006 on a variety of top sections which would provide as close as possible comparable armouring to the award winning

AlphaJoint but using significantly less steel in the profile.

In 2007 Permaban developed a 15mm cold rolled top section, 15mm being the minimum width possible to roll at the time. On testing it was found difficult to acheive satisfactory penetration of the concrete into the top section cavity.

Permaban were able to engineer a unique 10mm wide top section from 4mm thick steel which did not exhibit the lack of concrete penetration of the wider width joint sections and could also be produced to a straightness tolerence similar to cold drawn steel. This has become the standard GammaJoint ‘C'.

GammaJoint ‘C' is also available in Stainless Steel.

In July 2009 the ultimate 10mm wide forged top section - which is unique and only available from Permaban - will be launched and available throughout the world.

This profile combines all of the benefits of a 10mm wide cold rolled top section but with the added bonus of a forged steel top section to provide a higher load and stiffness capability with the straightness of cold drawn steel.

Extensive development has gone into introducing the sustainable GammaJoint top sections to themarket and Permaban are very proud of this latest achievement, GammaJoint ‘F'.

A Copycat manufacturer is offering this 20mm wide hot rolled channel section as their own ‘new' development. Permaban rejected a hot rolled channel section in early 2007 because it was unacceptable in straightness and very difficult to achieve penetration of the concrete into the channel cavity.
